Kitchen New Look

OK, I am over 1/2 done with the dresser.  Today, is way to windy.....so I brought it in and decided to see what it looks like so far.  Here we go.  Believe it or not, both Papa and I think we will leave the drawers natural, with just varithane (sp) on it.

From Summer to Fall

Earlier this week the babies were playing while Papa and I sat having coffee.

I have decided to paint my old dresser.  Ida sprayed something on it a few years back.  So it needs help.

Today the sanding began.  It is going to look great!

WAIT TILL YOU SEE THE COLOR!
IT'LL BE A WEEK OR TWO......

The sky was beautiful tonight!  I have never seen it this color before.

Growing Older

As we grow older we are expected to accept aging gracefully.  I am having a problem with it.  When I look in the mirror I see a different person than the one that appears in a photo.  As my family knows I have never had any color on my eyebrows, so......for Mother's Day my children, Jen and Ken, Paula and Tim, JR and Katrina gave me eyebrows!

Not only are there eyebrows, that really is my natural hair color!  Mind you it is early in the morning here.  Roselyn, the girl who did the eyebrows, nailed the color, even though it is lighting a little and boy am I glad about that, the shade is the same color as the darker grey.  I am getting use to them....

Let me know what you think.

Happy Easter 2010

Today was a great day in our lives.  We are thankful for all we have and for all the happened so we could be here.  This week end my youngest son, JR, his wife, Katrina, and son, Dimetrius (2) came for Easter.  On Sunday, my son Ken, his wife, Jen, and children ,Kaitlen (5) and Kaleb (3) joined us for an Easter Egg Hunt and meal of cold fried chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, green salad, watermelon, rolls and of course, cucumbers!  We fixed a few artichokes from the plant; however, they were very tough.  I followed the recipe for the pressure cooker, but think they could have cooked and 5 to 10 minutes.

Here are a few pictures of our day!

Spring is in the air!

Dude did not want his picture taken! This is Gracie!  She is very energetic.
The wind is blowing again!  March is always windy here in Fort Mohave.  I am awaiting April, the weather warms up and you can start heading to the pool!

Ok - I was out of focus, what's new?

The purple vines bloomed for two weeks.  They were beautiful.

I counted 11 artichokes this past week!  This is the largest so far.  It is going to taste so good.  Can't wait.

Have a great week end.  Ends up, the BIG K and I are spending time together today, Katie, Mom and Dad are off to LV.  Kelly and Kim are spending time with him first this morning.  I get 2nd shift!
